COME WITH US TO ST. MATTHEW’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH HYATTSVILLE FOR A DAY OF SOLIDARITY WITH OUR MIGRANT NEIGHBORS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026

Join members of Ascension’s Equity & Justice Committee at a diocesan-wide event:

Migrant Solidarity Convening: Learn, Act, Resist

St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church — Eglesia Episcopal San Mateo
5901 36th Avenue Hyattsville, MD 20782

Saturday, February 21, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

We will join with diocese members and other congregations to:

  • deepen our understanding of how we can faithfully stand with our migrant neighbors
  • learn about efforts to mobilize congregations to meet our migrants’ neighbors’ basic needs, offer solidarity in times of vulnerability, and proclaim publicly the dignity and value of all
  • share with each other what we are doing to resist the dehumanization and violence our neighbors are facing

There will be panel discussions and breakout sessions for skill-building and support. Light snacks and lunch will be served, and music and art will be offered to lift our spirits. Interpretation will be provided.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. . . . Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.— Matthew 25:35-40
